MR. SIMEON OYEWOLE KOLAWOLE

Lead Consultant

Mr. Simeon Oyewole Kolawole, a Chartered Insurer by virtue of being an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (AIIN), by examination, worked briefly at Federal Office of Statistics (Now Bureau of Statistics) from 1974-1975, before joining Nicon Insurance Corporation as General Underwriter from 1979 to 1998, and later moving over to the Reinsurance Department where he variously worked in both the inwards and outwards reinsurance from 1999 to 2018. He also has considerable experience in Claim Administration and Risk Management.

His speciality is more on Oil and Gas insurance placements than General Business. He handled a lot of treaty arrangements with Lloyds, Munich Re, Swis Re, General Insurance Corporation of India, Nigeria Re, WAICA Re and many others.

Furthermore, in the course of his duties in Nicon Insurance Plc, he equally had dealings with Price Forbes of London. He did not only place businesses with all the organistation mentioned above, but he physically visited most of the organizations and received on the job training from them. He joined Radiance Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 2019 as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.

DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dr. Kins U. Ekebuike who graduated from University of Nigeria in 1986 with a B.A (Hons) Degree started his insurance career in 1988 as a Graduate Trainee in Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation. He outstandingly qualified as an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London in 1991. In 1992, he also obtained the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and later in 2001, obtained a Masters Degree in international Law and Diplomacy (M.I.L.D.), specializing in International Law and Finance. Kins Ekebuike, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Mediators and Conciliators (FICMC), also holds a Ph.D in International Relations and Strategic Studies.

He started holding management positions early enough in his career following his unequalled performance in the professional examination as he was appointed the Area Manager (East) of Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation in 1992 with the onerous responsibility of overseeing the activities of over twenty-five insurance companies in the then old Eastern Region of Nigeria, among other responsibilities. He resigned this position to move to NICON as the Zonal Manager (Enugu) in 1995.

These two positions helped in sharpening his intellect and deepening his knowledge of insurance, Risk Management and General Management early, enough hence he has a wide range of experience in the insurance industry, spanning Reinsurance, Zonal Management, Research and Planning as well as underwriting.

Senior positions in both places. He left NICON as the Head of Marketing, before joining Unitykapital Assurance Plc. He became the Executive Director (Operations) of Unitykapital Assurance Plc in 2009, a position he held until his appointment in 2011 as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Company. Dr. Kins Ekebuike resigned from Unitykapital on 5th December, 2014.

Dr. Kins Ekebuike has attended many local and international courses, among these was the Executive Management Development Programme of Wits Business School, University of Witswatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Dr. Ekebuike is a member, the Institute of Director (M.IOD) and he was on the Board of Directors of many Companies, including FUG Pensions (a licensed Pensions Administrator) and Health Care Securities Limited (an NHIS registered health care organization). He is Specialist, the institute of Risk Management (SIRM), London as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management (FCILRM)

In 2012, he became a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (FIIN) after successfully going through all the rigorous qualifying processes. He is also member, Nigerian Institute of Marketing (MNIM)

He is a thorough bred insurance professional having spent over twenty nine uninterrupted years in the Insurance Industry; 23 of these years have been spent at various management levels.

On leaving UnityKapital in 2014, Dr. Kins Ekebuike, who had earlier invested heavily in his Private Companies starting from three Companies; namely, Pinnacle Model Schools Group (Nursery, Primary and Secondary), Pinnacle Radiance Nigeria Ltd and Reliance Pinnacle (Nig) Ltd (between 1998 and 2003), launched himself into piloting the Affairs of Pinnacle Radiance Group, the holding company of his companies. Director

Barrister Godwin Nkemakolam Okereke who is also the Chairman of Diamonds and Daisies Risk Management Consultancy Ltd is a Director of Radiance Insurance Brokers Ltd. He retired meritoriously from the Nigerian Police force in 2009 as a Police Commissioner after 35 years of service. He holds a BSc Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Psychology from Enugu State University in 1996. He also obtained an LLB from University of Nigeria in 2010 and a BL from the Nigerian Law School in 2011 He is a Professional Member of the

MR. HOWEL O UBANI -Director

Mr. Howel O. Ubani is the Executive Director, (Technical) charged with the responsibilities of evaluation of special risks, risk resolution, underwriting and management of risks, preliminary processing of claims, survey and assessment of oil claim with designated loss adjusters. He

also interfaces with consultants with a view to ensuring that due process is followed in all General Businesses.

Mr. Howel O Ubani worked with Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation for over 25 years until 2009, when he voluntarily withdrew his services. He served in various operational departments including inward overseas Treaty, Client services, Research and Development, Marine &Aviation, Marketing and Risk Management Operations. “Risk Bearer” and “Nigeria Re News” as well as member of the Corporation’s various Management/ ad-hoc committees.

He, thereafter, worked in National Co-operative Insurance Society of Nigeria Ltd, Perfect Loss Evaluators Nigeria Ltd., a loss Adjusting firm. During his career in Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation, he actively participated in unionism and was Vice President and General Secretary of the Senior Staff Union (ASSBIFI) at various times. He began his insurance education at the prestigious West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Liberia (now Gambia) where he obtained a Diploma in Insurance and an MBA in Insurance & Risk Management from Enugu University if Science & Technology (ESUT Business School).

He is also an Associate, Member of the Chartered Institute of Administration, Nigeria and an Affiliate Member of Institute of Co-operative Practitioners of Nigeria. He has attended various research, management and cooperatives courses. He was a member of organizing committee, 2012 international year for cooperation Action Plan (CTAP) as well as a member of the Finance Subcommittee of CTAP.

The combination of his social assets and depth of market experience in reinsurance underwriting has been brought to bear in Radiance Insurance Brokers.

His Reinsurance experience of over twenty-five years is indispensable in risk analysis and reinsurance placement.

MR. CHARLES AJUZIE-

Executive Director, London Office

(Reinsurance/Retrocession)

Mr. Charles Ajuzie is currently the Executive Director, London Office of Radiance Insurance Brokers charged with the responsibilities of Reinsurance/Retrocession/Outward Overseas Treaty.

Before relocating to London, he had worked in Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation for 14 years from February 1988. Before coming back to the Insurance Industry through Radiance Insurance Brokers, Mr. Charles Ajuzie had worked as the property Management Consultant for JMS Estate (IOM) Ltd, a high profile property development company in London and UK. Prior to this appointment, he had taken the responsibilities of effectively turning around poor performance social housing organizations in the United Kingdom into Viable companies.

He has substantial experience in business development, Project Management, contract procurement and insurance. He is the Founding Director of CA Social care ltd., a support housing company in UK.

Mr. Ajuzie also has considerable years of insurance experience having worked for Nigeria reinsurance Corporation for about 14 years before relocating to UK in 1997.

Mr. Charles Ajuzie is an asset for Radiance Insurance Brokers in the London Insurance Market.

COMPANY SECRETARY/ LEGAL ADVISER

Omoluabi, Paul A. Esq; is the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of the company. He is a law graduate of the prestigious University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria with a Second Class Upper Division. Barrister Omoluabi was the best graduating student of Diploma in law, University of Abuja. He was called to the Nigerian Bar with Second Class Division. He has extensive experience in Company law, Arbitration law, Contract law, Property law, Commercial law, Oil and Gas law, International law, Civil/Criminal litigation and Constitutional law.

He is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association and other Para-Legal Associations.

He is married with children.

Alhaji Abdullah Ibrahim -Director

Alhaji Abdullahi Hassan Obtained his OND (Banking and Finance) in 2002 from the University of Jos. He did his one Year Industrial attachment in Motor Department of NICON Insurance Corporation in2002 -2003 After leaving NICON Insurance, he engaged in Insurance practice as an independent Insurance executive and has combined this with his other various business interests in merchandising and general contracts.

He has worked in, among others, Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation as well as in NICON Insurance Corporation, holding many responsible senior positions on retirement from Unitykapital, Dr Kins Ekebuike has been involved in the management of many of his companies, among them are Radiance Insurance Brokers Ltd, Pinnacle Model Schools and Radiance Pharmacy Ltd as well as engaging in Consultancy Services through his Diamonds and Daisies Risks Consultancy Ltd and Radiance Pinnacle Managers Risks Consulting Ltd. He currently Consults for the House of Representative Committee on Insurance and Actuarial Matters, among others. He held senior positions in both places. He left NICON as the Head of Marketing, before joining Unitykapital Assurance Plc. He became the Executive Director (Operations) of Unitykapital Assurance Plc in 2009, a position he held until his appointment in 2011 as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Company. Mr. Charles Ajuzie is currently the Executive Director, London Office of Radiance Insurance Brokers charged with the responsibilities of Reinsurance/Retrocession/Outward Overseas Treaty.

He has substantial experience in business development, Project Management, contract procurement and insurance. He is the Founding Director of CA Social care ltd., a support housing company in UK.

Mr. Ajuzie also has considerable years of insurance experience having worked for Nigeria reinsurance Corporation for about 14 years before relocating to UK in 1997.

Mr. David Onyemaechi Azuokwu, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (AIIN), who joined Radiance Insurance Brokers in March, 2017, is the Executive Director, General Services overseeing the Information Technology, Finance and Administration. He is every employer’s dream employee and delight as he has vast wealth of experience in Insurance Info Tech, Enterprise Risk Management and Human Resource Management.

Before joining Radiance Insurance Brokers, he had worked in Nobel & Lesley Consulting Ltd as General Manager, Part-Time Lecturer at Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, and UnityKapital Assurance Pic from where he resigned as the Senior Manager/Head of Infotech/Enterprise Risk Management. In UnityKapital, he developed, implemented, and maintained the ERM framework and supporting policies and procedures, which included the assessment and maintenance of the risk maturity profile of the organisation as well as the compilation of strategic and operational risk register.

Furthermore, he developed and implemented the Information Technology Strategy of UnityKapital Insurance Pic to support the financial business objectives of the company, leading to the design and development of the Technical Software which met the client’s requirements. The software designed, known as PREMIA software, is still in use in UnityKapital Assurance till date.

Mr. Azuokwu also supervised the design and maintenance of UnityKapital’s internal and external web sites mid associated documents to present a positive image of the company. Finally, in Unitykapital, he developed and maintained the Company’s intranet to provide an accurate and immediate source of information to all staff.

PATRICK ATTAHIRU-General Manager (Oil and Gas)

Mr Patrick Attahiru, who had attended the Oil and Gas Insurance Training in London, organised by Meridian Risk Solutions, oversees the Oil and Gas Operations of Radiance Insurance Brokers at the General Managerial level. He supervises and monitors issuance of policy documents, certificates and renewal information chart.

Mr. Patrick Attahiru holds a Bsc. (Economics Education) from University of Jos, Nigeria, in 2002. He had worked with Plateau State Ministry of Finance before he resigned and moved to NICON Insurance Corporation in 2004.

He has spent over a decade in the Insurance industry, from NICON Insurance to UnityKapital Assurance Pic. He served in various operational departments and has attended various courses both locally and internationally, including a one-year program in the prestigious West African Insurance Institute, Banjul, The Gambia, where he obtained a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management and had equally, in May 2014 attended a training course in Oil and Gas Insurance, organized by Meridian Risk Solutions Limited at Sackville House, 143 – 149 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 6BN.

OFONDU, Ndubuisi Stanley (General Manager,Administration).

Mr Ofondu joined the Radiance Insurance Brokers as the General Manager (Administration) Overseeing theGeneral Administration and Management of the Company. Stanley Ndubuisi Ofondu was bom in Ovim, in Isuikwuato Local Government Area ofAbia State on November 30,1965. He had his early education at Ovim Central School between 1970 and 1975. He obtained his West African School Certificate with Grade One in 1980 from Isuikwuato High School. In 1981, he proceeded to the old Imo State University as a pioneer student. He graduated in 1985 with a B.A. (Hons) in History. He did his one-year mandatory National Youth Service in Port Harcourt (1985 – 1986). He later went for his Post-Graduate Degree and obtained a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy (MILD) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. He has attended several courses within and outside the country during which he acquired various certificates in Insurance and Risk Management. He also holds a Diploma Certificate in Computer Studies.

Mr. Ofondu possesses vast experience in General Administration and Management, spanning several years in the public and private sectors during which he managed human and material resources. He cut his working tooth between January 1981 and August 1981 as a young School Leaver when he served the old Imo State Government as an Accounts Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Owerri. Between 1987 and 1989, he was the Senior Administrative Manager of Tara Industries (PVT) Ltd, a Cosmeticand Chemical Industry based in Lagos. From 1989 to 1999, he was the Group Administrative Manager of Onkar Ltd, a Transport and Logistics Company. After working as a Sales Executive in NICON Insurance Corporation, from 2000 – 2002, he became the Supervisor in the Office of the Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Internally Generated Revenue (2002 – 2004). In 2005, Mr. Ofondu became the Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of RANGK Ltd, Lagos – assisting the Executive Chairman in the day to day running of the Organization. RANGK Ltd are Ship Owners/Ship Operators. They also provide Maritime Consultancy and Offshore Support Services.

Mr. Ekekwe Echeleme Emmanuel was bom into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson Ekekwe of Agbo Obayi Ovim in Isiukwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. He attended Ovim| Community School Ovim where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).

Mr. Enyioma Ekebuike is a marketing and insurance professional. He has over 12 years experience in top positions in public an private sector. He started his career in Isuikwuato L.GA. Government Council, Abia State. He held various positions-Special Adviser to Executive Chairman on Political Affairs and Grassroot Matters, Honourable councilor/ Supervisor for Environment and L.G.A Party Secretary of a ruling political party. A US semiconductor industry veteran, his working experiences include Diamond Bank, Analog Devices Corp and NNPC. Dr. Chinedu has over 25 years’ experience in policy development and planning, budget formulation and management, revenue administration, financial reporting and analysis, risk analysis and management, and legal drafting. Dr. Chinedu Eze, who had been the Managing Director of Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (Now Universal Insurance Pic) and a one-time special adviser on Economic Affairs to the Enugu State Government, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII). He holds an HND in Insurance from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He also holds LLB, MBA (Banking and Finance) and PhD (Banking and Finance) from University ofNigeria as well as a BL from the Nigerian Law School.

Obinna Chilekezi is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, associate Council of Insurance Brokers, associate Certified Institute of Pension of Nigeria, Member of Chartered Institute of Local Government, Fellow Public Administration and Management Development Institute, among others and a graduate of Insurance. He has the Higher National Diplomas of Federal Polytechnics, Owerri and Yaba College of Technology and Post Graduate Diplomas in Journalism, Finance and Banking. Obinnaya possesses a wealth of experience in sales management, marketing, personal development, the management of change and youth entrepreneurship development.

An approval was granted expressly a year later by the Managing Director, Mr. Remi Olowude and by the time he was leaving in 2004 he had risen to become the Head, Agency Operations, Northern region. Part of his landmark achievements was the recruitment, training and mentoring of over seven hundred agents (Financial Planners) many of whom today are Branch Managers and top executives in many reputable insurance companies within and outside the country. He developed and secured the mortgage protection market in the Central Bank of Nigeria for IGi.

Sometime in 2004, Obinnaya, having reviewed the lack of nexus between the different providers of financial services in the country wrote to the Managing Directors of three banks (Mr. Jim Ovia- Zenith, Mr. Tony Elumelu- Standard Trust Bank (now UBA) and Late Tayo Aderinokun- GTB) recommending the introduction of bancassurance by their institutions. After due discussions, he chose to join the STB group, Lagos and it is on record that he was part of the team that designed and supervised the bancassurance model which worked successfully in the former HEIRS (later UBA Insurance). He served as the Manager/ Head, Financial Planners Network(Agency). With a sales force of about one hundred, he mobilized an income of N1.4 billion.
